The 2026 (25th) China Internet Conference kicked off in Beijing on July 8. Centering on underlying AI transformations, the conference targeted industrial pain points including fragmented computing power, token commercialization and multi-agent collaboration, and launched localized solutions to empower the development of Digital China and new quality productive forces driven by digital intelligence.

During the opening ceremony, Wu Hequan, Member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, delivered predictions on industrial trends. He projected that by 2030, the proportion of global AI traffic will surge, the domestic token structure will undergo comprehensive innovation, and the traffic contributed by agent-based services will account for 75% of the total. He pointed out that the research and development of collaborative control suites for intelligent agents and the restructuring of computing power network architectures will become the core priorities for breakthroughs in the next phase of the AI industry.

The conference officially launched the landmark FlagOS Spark Program. Jointly initiated by the three major telecom operators, leading cloud vendors and research institutes, the program aims to build a full industrial chain for AI through scenario-based pilots, talent cultivation cooperation and industry standard formulation. It will shore up weaknesses in China’s basic AI software and support the large-scale implementation and application of heterogeneous computing power.

The conference clarified a new direction for industrial transformation, marking the industry’s shift from "traffic-centric operation" to "token-centric operation". The three major telecom operators called for in-depth collaboration between computing and power systems, computing and network infrastructure, as well as data and computing resources, to tackle bottlenecks in computing power energy consumption and data circulation. Leading enterprises including Huawei and Kuaishou put forward innovative practical solutions, focusing on building a lossless Token transmission computing power network, empowering county-level industries with AI, and reducing marketing costs for small and medium-sized merchants respectively.

Industry experts noted that the value of the internet industry continues to iterate and evolve, upgrading from traditional information connectivity to full-domain collaborative empowerment driven by computing power, AI models and intelligent agents. Moving forward, the industry will break down industrial chain collaboration barriers by leveraging independent technological foundations, in-depth exploration of real-economy scenarios and green computing power deployment, continuously unleash digital and intelligent development momentum, and consolidate the foundation for the growth of the digital economy.
